BEIJING, Oct. 15 (Xinhua) -- Chinese authorities have formed a joint investigation team to look into online reports of brake pedal bracket fractures involving the Maextro V800 vehicle, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said Thursday.
The ministry, together with the Cyberspace Administration of China and the State Administration for Market Regulation, set up the team following preliminary investigations into the reported issue.
The authorities will handle the matter in accordance with laws and regulations, and relevant information will be released in a timely manner, according to the ministry. ■
