RIYADH, Oct. 15 (Xinhua) -- Yemen's Houthi group attacked the King Khalid International Airport in the Saudi capital Riyadh 20 times in October, killing 17 people and injuring 333 others, the Saudi-led coalition said Thursday.
Turki al-Maliki, spokesperson for the Saudi-led coalition, announced the updated casualty figures at a press conference held in Riyadh.
Al-Maliki also urged the Houthis to immediately cease all terrorist operations targeting civilians and civilian facilities, including airports, ports, oil facilities and infrastructure.
Earlier in the day, four loud explosions were heard in Yemen's southern port city of Aden. Smoke was seen rising near the government headquarters.
Fighting between the Saudi-led coalition and the Houthis continued on Wednesday, with both sides carrying out fresh attacks and the Houthis vowing to continue targeting airports and oil facilities in Saudi Arabia in the coming days. ■
