PANAMA CITY, Oct. 12 (Xinhua) -- A magnitude-6.3 earthquake struck Panama at 6:20 p.m. local time (2320 GMT) on Monday, according to a preliminary report from the Geosciences Institute of the University of Panama.
The epicenter was located 32 km southwest of Sona, in the western province of Veraguas, at a depth of 10 km.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage. ■
