PHNOM PENH, Oct. 12 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia and Azerbaijan signed three agreements on Monday to strengthen bilateral ties and cooperation in trade, double taxation prevention and diplomatic education, said a news release from Cambodia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

The deals were inked during Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet's official visit to Baku, the news release said, adding that the pacts covered double taxation elimination, trade and economic cooperation, and a diplomatic training partnership.

Prior to the signing ceremony, Hun Manet held a bilateral meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. The two leaders discussed expanding cooperation across key sectors, including energy, technology, and logistics.

Both sides also exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest and concern.

"They reaffirmed their shared commitment to multilateralism and underscored the importance of strengthening cooperation on regional and international platforms to promote lasting peace, stability, and sustainable development in their respective regions and beyond," the news release said.

Azerbaijan marks the first stop of Hun Manet's three-nation tour, which will also include visits to Türkiye and Kazakhstan. ■
