BEIJING, Oct. 12 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.2 jolted Kuril Islands at 1700 GMT on Sunday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 81.5 km, was initially determined to be at 49.82 degrees north latitude and 155.80 degrees east longitude. ■
