ISLAMABAD, Oct. 12 (Xinhua) -- Two Pakistan Army pilots were killed when a training aircraft crashed in Pakistan's southwestern Balochistan province on Monday, the military said.
The aircraft, a Mushshak trainer operated by Pakistan Army Aviation, crashed around midday due to a technical fault in the provincial capital of Quetta, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The two pilots were identified as Major Husnain Shehzad Humayun, an instructor pilot, and Captain Abdul Samad, a student pilot, the statement said.
The Mushshak aircraft is used for basic pilot training, helping trainee pilots develop essential flying skills under the supervision of experienced instructors. ■
