BEIJING, Oct. 10 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.4 jolted New Britain Region, Papua New Guinea at 2020 GMT on Friday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 43.5 km, was initially determined to be at 5.18 degrees south latitude and 151.83 degrees east longitude. ■
