ISLAMABAD, Oct. 10 (Xinhua) -- Pakistani security forces killed 10 militants during an intelligence-based operation in the country's southwest Balochistan province, security sources said on Saturday.
The operation was conducted in Barkhan district following intelligence reports about the presence of suspected militants, according to the sources.
A substantial quantity of weapons and ammunition was also recovered during the operation, the security sources said.
Balochistan Chief Minister's Adviser on Home Affairs Ziaullah Langove said the militants were associated with the outlawed Balochistan Liberation Army. ■
