AmazingAnhui | Take a flight over Xidi and Hongcun: low-altitude tourism boosts Yixian's economy

HUANGSHAN, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- During China's National Day holiday, the UNESCO World Heritage villages of Xidi and Hongcun in Yixian County, Anhui Province, saw a surge in tourism.

Beyond traditional ground tours, many visitors took to the skies through low-altitude experiences such as powered paragliding and hang gliding, enjoying aerial views of the region's ancient villages and landscapes.

Local authorities have been developing low-altitude tourism routes that draw on the area's Hui culture and natural scenery. According to flight camp staff, these programs have become a new growth point for the local cultural and tourism economy while creating jobs in flight operations and ground support services.
