MIAMI, Oct. 7 (Xinhua) -- Samuel Velasquez and Daniel Arcila scored second-half goals as Colombia claimed a 2-0 friendly win over 10-man Peru on Tuesday.
The Cafeteros opened the scoring just before the hour when Velasquez thumped a long-range effort into the top-left corner.
Peru was handed a numerical disadvantage shortly after as Miguel Araujo was shown a straight red card for a bad tackle on Camilo Duran.
Arcila put the result beyond doubt in stoppage time, combining with Juan Rengifo and angling a shot into the far corner.
Peru had just one shot on target as its winless run extended to five matches. ■
