SAN JOSE, Oct. 4 (Xinhua) -- Carlos Mora and Andrey Soto scored first-half goals as Costa Rica continued its resurgent form with a 2-0 home win over Haiti in the CONCACAF Nations League on Sunday.

Mora opened the scoring in the sixth minute by heading in after Ronald Matarrita's delivery from a set piece.

Matarrita was again the provider 15 minutes later when his perfectly weighted pass found Soto, who took a touch before rifling a shot into the far corner.

Haiti failed to have a single shot on target as Costa Rica secured its second straight win under new manager Bryan Ruiz, who replaced Fernando Batista last week after five defeats in six games.

Costa Rica now has six points from four games, four points behind Group A leader Curacao and three points behind second-placed Haiti.

In other CONCACAF Nations League fixtures on Sunday, Aruba won 3-2 at home to Anguilla, Curacao drew 1-1 at Trinidad and Tobago, Puerto Rico edged to a 1-0 home win over Cayman Islands, U.S. Virgin Islands prevailed 3-2 at the Bahamas, Guyana romped to an 8-1 home victory over Dominica and Turks and Caicos Islands cruised to a 3-0 home win over British Virgin Islands. ■
