RIYADH, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) -- One person was injured after debris from an intercepted ballistic missile fell in the Aseer region, southern Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Civil Defense said in a statement on Saturday.
The debris fell in Ahad Rafidah Governorate after the interception and destruction of the missile, injuring an Asian resident and causing material damage to several vehicles and a prayer room inside a building, the department said in a post on social media.
Separately, a projectile launched by the Houthis struck a school in the city of Najran on Friday, causing material damage, the Saudi Civil Defense said. ■
