ISLAMABAD, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) -- Two Pakistani civilians were killed and another was injured in firing by India's Border Security Force (BSF) near the border in Kasur district of Pakistan's eastern Punjab province, Pakistani security sources said Friday.
The sources said the three villagers had just moved a few steps beyond a border pillar when India's BSF personnel "opened fire on them without warning." None of the villagers was armed.
The security sources said the incident constituted a violation of the agreement and standard operating procedures governing the Pakistan-India border. ■
