MADRID, Oct. 2 (Xinhua) -- Spain coach Luis de la Fuente is expected to continue rotating his squad as his side prepares to face the Czech Republic in its third UEFA Nations League group match on Saturday night.
Spain travels to Oviedo's Carlos Tartiere Stadium after following up a 3-2 win over England at Wembley with an impressive 4-1 victory over Croatia in Seville on Tuesday night.
That win stretched Spain's unbeaten run under De la Fuente to 40 matches. Although he warned in his post-match press conference that the run would have to end sooner or later, it would be a major surprise if it ended against the Czechs.
The Czech Republic is coached by former Spain Under-21 coach Santi Denia, but Denia travels to Spain after home defeats to Croatia and England and will be without midfielder Pavel Sulc, who was sent off in the first half of the defeat to England.
De la Fuente also lost winger Nico Williams to a muscle injury on Thursday, with Williams returning to Athletic Bilbao after scoring Spain's fourth goal against Croatia.
His injury means Alex Baena is likely to continue on the left wing, although Victor Munoz could get his chance if De la Fuente continues his policy of squad rotation.
Munoz spoke to the press on Thursday and expressed his satisfaction at being part of the national team setup. He could get his opportunity, especially if De la Fuente decides to rest Lamine Yamal ahead of Tuesday's visit to Split to face Croatia for a second time during the international break.
Aymeric Laporte, Ferran Torres, Rodri Hernandez, Dani Olmo and Pedri could also come into the starting lineup, while De la Fuente may see Saturday as a good opportunity to give David Raya a start in goal after Unai Simon started against England and Croatia.
A win on Saturday would stretch Spain's unbeaten run to 41 matches and could put it in position to secure qualification for the Nations League quarterfinals in Split next Tuesday. ■
