MANILA, Oct. 1 (Xinhua) -- The Asian Development Bank (ADB) said it plans to invest 1.3 billion U.S. dollars in Mongolia by 2027, in an effort to strengthen the country's education, health and disaster preparedness, according to a press release on Thursday.
As part of the effort, ADB signed three loan agreements this week totaling 455 million U.S. dollars to strengthen provincial health services, sustain access and quality of education during economic difficulties, and improve disaster resilience capacity.
ADB President Masato Kanda recently visited Mongolia and said people place enormous trust in the institutions responsible for their children's education and their families' health, adding that Mongolia's efforts merit ADB's support. ■
