JAKARTA, Oct. 1 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia's annual inflation rate rose to 3.28 percent in September 2026 from 3.19 percent in August, the Statistics Indonesia (BPS) said Thursday.
The consumer price index (CPI) increased to 112.31 in September from 108.74 a year earlier, while monthly inflation stood at 0.30 percent.
BPS Deputy for Distribution and Services Statistics Ateng Hartono said food, beverages and tobacco were among the main drivers, recording 4.37 percent annual inflation and contributing 1.28 percentage points to the overall rate.
Commodities with the largest contributions in the food, beverages and tobacco group were mainly fresh fish, chicken, bird's eye chili, rice, cooking oil, sweetened condensed milk and beef, the official data showed. ■
