ISTANBUL, Oct. 1 (Xinhua) -- Seven workers were injured in an explosion at a metal factory in the Turkish western port city of Izmir on Thursday, local media reported.
The incident occurred in the Torbali district, with three of the injured workers in critical condition, according to the Sabah Daily.
The injured workers were immediately transported to various hospitals.
The exact cause of the explosion was not immediately clear, and an official investigation was underway, the report said. ■
