PHNOM PENH, Sept. 30 (Xinhua) -- Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni and his mother, Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk, returned home safely on Wednesday afternoon after a month-long trip to Beijing, China, for routine medical check-ups.
Their arrival at Techo International Airport was broadcast live on the state-run National Television of Cambodia (TVK).
The footage showed Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet, other national leaders, and Chinese diplomats welcoming the royal family.
The 73-year-old monarch travels to China twice a year for health monitoring by specialized Chinese medical teams. ■
