JERUSALEM, Sept. 30 (Xinhua) -- Israeli defense technology company Smart Shooter said in a disclosure to the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange on Wednesday that it has secured a U.S. military contract worth up to 150 million U.S. dollars to provide systems and training to counter small unmanned aircraft.
The technology is designed to detect and engage small, lightweight drones and other moving aerial targets using kinetic interception capabilities.
The system combines advanced fire-control technology with precision-guided weapon systems, helping soldiers track moving targets and improve shooting accuracy.
The systems will be supplied as part of the U.S. Domestic Shield program, which supports force and base protection against drone threats in the United States and overseas. ■
