NAGOYA, Japan, Sept. 29 (Xinhua) -- Akbar Djuraev of Uzbekistan set a world record en route to winning the men's 110kg weightlifting title at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games on Tuesday.
Djuraev produced a 197kg snatch, a new world record, before adding a 226kg clean and jerk to post a 423kg total to claim gold. Turkmenistan's Shahzadbek Matyakubov settled for silver with 410kg, while China's Liu Huanhua took bronze with 405kg. ■
