SYDNEY, Sept. 29 (Xinhua) -- A man has been hospitalized after he was shot in southwest Sydney on Tuesday afternoon.
A police statement said that emergency services were called to reports of a shooting at a residential unit block in the suburb of Liverpool, 28 km southwest of central Sydney, around 12:40 p.m. on Tuesday.
Officers arrived at the scene and found a 32-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his leg.
Ambulance paramedics treated the man before taking him to hospital.
Police established a crime scene and have started an investigation into the shooting. ■
