NAGOYA, Japan, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) -- Ali Alipour of Iran set a new world record total of 398kg to win the men's 95kg weightlifting title at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games on Monday.
Alipour snatched 180kg and lifted 218kg in the clean and jerk to secure the gold. Kazakhstan's Nurgissa Adiletuly settled for silver with 394kg, while China's Tu Yi took bronze with 384kg. ■
