MADRID, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- Atletico Madrid center-back Robin Le Normand has been called up to the Spain squad for the three remaining UEFA Nations League matches in the current international break.
Le Normand replaces FC Barcelona defender Eric Garcia, who was forced to withdraw from the squad due to a knee problem.
Garcia had been due to start in Spain's 3-2 win over England at Wembley on Saturday, but felt the issue during the pre-match warm-up and was replaced in the starting lineup by Le Normand's Atletico Madrid teammate Marc Pubill.
"He had a slight issue in the warm-up and when we return to Madrid, we will see if he can recover," said De la Fuente after the match Spain won with goals from Lamine Yamal, Alex Banea and Mikel Oyarzabal.
"It doesn't look serious, but we don't know if he will be available for the coming games."
Spain plays Croatia in Seville on Tuesday before hosting the Czech Republic next Saturday and then visiting Croatia the following week. ■
