BEIRUT/JERUSALEM, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- Thousands of people took part Sunday in a march and memorial ceremony in Beirut's southern suburbs, marking the second anniversary of the death of late Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.
According to al-Manar TV channel, addressing the gathering, Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem said the group would continue its resistance.
"With these resistance fighters, the people of the resistance, this great spirit and the blood of the martyrs, we can only continue, and we cannot be defeated," Qassem said, adding Hezbollah remained confident in "victory" and the eventual liberation of Lebanese territory.
Meanwhile, Israel's military said Sunday it struck Hezbollah sites across southern Lebanon after what it said was an explosive drone launched by the group towards Israeli troops overnight.
The military said in a statement that it targeted sites used to launch explosive drones and anti-tank missiles, as well as other Hezbollah infrastructure.
It added the strikes were in response to the drone launch and remained "committed to the agreement between Israel and Lebanon."
Israel and Hezbollah agreed to a ceasefire on June 19, but Israeli forces have remained deployed inside southern Lebanon and continued to carry out frequent attacks. ■
