BEIJING, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 jolted South Sandwich Islands Region at 2113 GMT on Sunday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 88.8 km, was initially determined to be at 59.22 degrees south latitude and 25.61 degrees west longitude. ■
