JERUSALEM, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- Israeli Premier League club Ironi Ness Ziona announced Saturday the signing of shooting guard Josh Christopher, who spent three seasons in the NBA and played in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) last season.
"I am proud to join Ness Ziona, ready to get to work, and looking forward to stepping onto the court in front of our fans," Christopher said after signing a one-year contract with the club.
The 24-year-old American played college basketball at Arizona State University and was selected 24th overall by the Houston Rockets in the 2021 NBA Draft.
Christopher played 152 NBA games for the Houston Rockets and the Miami Heat, averaging 6.5 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.
In April, he joined the Shenzhen Aviators, helping the team reach the CBA playoff semifinals before losing the series 3-1 to the Zhejiang Lions. He averaged 15.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists in six playoff games. ■
