MANILA, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- Over half of Filipinos feel helpless in the face of official corruption, according to a recent survey by Social Weather Stations.
The survey, conducted in late June, found that 52 percent of interviewees agreed that they cannot do anything to reduce corruption in the government, local media reported.
Across areas, respondents who felt helpless about corruption were highest among those in Metro Manila at 64 percent, with the country's southern Mindanao at 47 percent and central Visayas at 42 percent.
The latest poll had 1,200 respondents and a margin of error of plus/minus three percent. ■
