BEIJING, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- People enjoyed diverse and dazzling fun as they celebrated this year's Mid-Autumn Festival across China on Friday.
Mid-Autumn Festival falls on the 15th day of the eighth month in the Chinese traditional calendar. Traditional celebrations usually feature mooncakes, whose round shape stands for reunion, and lanterns resembling or bearing images of a rabbit, the auspicious animal that accompanies Chang'e, the moon goddess in a Chinese fairy tale.
