ISLAMABAD, Sept. 23 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Coast Guards, in coordination with the Joint Maritime Information Coordination Center, have foiled an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of contraband in the Pishukan area of southwest Balochistan province, the military said Wednesday.
Acting on intelligence information, the joint anti-smuggling operation led to the seizure of a sizeable quantity of liquor and illegal medicines, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations, the media wing of the Pakistani military.
The seized items were handed over to the Pakistan Coast Guards for further legal proceedings, it said. ■
