TEHRAN, Sept. 22 (Xinhua) -- A policeman was killed and three others were wounded in an armed "terrorist" attack in Iran's southeastern Sistan and Baluchestan province on Monday, the semi-official Tasnim news agency reported.
The attack targeting their car occurred on an intercity road in Iranshahr County as the policemen were on duty, Tasnim cited the public relations office of the provincial police as saying.
Efforts were underway to identify and arrest the gunmen, according to the report.
Sistan and Baluchestan, a province bordering Pakistan and Afghanistan, has witnessed several terrorist attacks targeting both civilians and security forces in recent years. ■
