SINGAPORE, Sept. 22 (Xinhua) -- Singapore-based BDx Data Centers has broken ground on a 640 MW artificial intelligence (AI) data center campus in Jatiluhur in the West Java province of Indonesia, as demand for high-density AI infrastructure accelerates.
BDx said in a statement on Tuesday that the CGK4 campus is backed by 845 MVA of grid capacity from state utility PLN.
The campus, comprising six planned buildings, is expected to be developed over about three years, with buildings commissioned in phases. Construction has begun on the first building, which will provide 120 MW of IT capacity, with the first contracted phase expected to enter service in early 2027.
Located about 5 km from the Jatiluhur Dam, the campus is also pursuing lower-carbon power options. ■
