BUENOS AIRES, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) -- Leandro Lozano and Miguel Merentiel scored second-half goals as Boca Juniors eased to a 2-0 away win over 10-man San Lorenzo in Argentina's Clausura tournament on Sunday.
The hosts were dealt a blow in the 31st minute when Manuel Insaurralde was shown a straight red card for a reckless challenge on Alvaro Montero.
Lozano gave Boca the lead just before the hour when he combined with Leonel Flores before finishing clinically into the bottom-right corner.
Merentiel doubled the advantage with a sliding finish at the far post after Lautaro Blanco's cross from the left wing.
Boca is now fifth in the 15-team Zone A standings with 17 points, six ahead of 10th-placed San Lorenzo.
In other Argentina top-flight fixtures on Sunday, Rosario Central won 1-0 at home to Argentinos Juniors, Newell's Old Boys edged to a 1-0 away victory over Platense, Belgrano prevailed 2-1 at home to Estudiantes Rio Cuarto, and Velez Sarsfield clinched a 3-2 home win over Tigre. ■
