Yi Jiashuo, 22, a teacher at Liaoning Engineering Vocational College, has been preparing extensively for the industrial control skill competition at the 48th WorldSkills Competition in Shanghai.
The industrial control skill competition features a simulation of industrial production process. It requires the ability to install, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial automated and electrical production systems. Industrial control electricians need a wide range of skills, learning the installation of cables, instruments and control centers, circuit design and programming.
During his preparation, Yi repeatedly practiced core skills such as programming and equipment debugging, while also doing physical training and English study. "Intensive training inevitably brings physical fatigue, but thinking about the goal of achieving good results in the competition, all the efforts are worthwhile," said Yi. (Xinhua/Li Gang)
