ANKARA, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- A 5.0-magnitude earthquake struck Türkiye's southern province of Adana early on Monday, the country's Disaster and Emergency Management Authority said.
The temblor occurred at 4.02 a.m. local time (0102 GMT) at a depth of 7 kilometers in the Saimbeyli district, the authority said.
Tremors from the quake were also felt across neighboring provinces of Kayseri, Osmaniye and Kahramanmaras, with the agency noting that no casualties or damage have been reported so far as field scanning operations continue.
Türkiye lies on several active seismic fault lines. ■
