MA'ANSHAN, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) -- Cheng Xiang, born in 2006, is a student in the electrical engineering department of Ma'anshan Technical College. Cheng is now preparing to compete in the additive manufacturing event at the 48th WorldSkills Competition.

Additive manufacturing, commonly known as 3D printing, involves creating three-dimensional objects from digital models. After extensive specialized training, Cheng is capable of independently completing the entire process, including model design, equipment operation, parameter optimization, and post-processing of finished products.

During his preparation, he trains from early morning until late at night, repeatedly rehearsing the procedures.
