RIO DE JANEIRO, Sept. 18 (Xinhua) -- Former Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech is free to make his debut for Botafogo after he was registered by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) on Friday.
The 33-year-old is expected to line up for the Rio de Janeiro club in its away Serie A clash against Mirassol on Saturday.
Ziyech joined Botafogo on a free transfer after parting ways with Morocco's Wydad AC earlier this month.
Saturday's fixture will also mark head coach Tite's first match in charge of Botafogo following his appointment earlier this week.
The Rio de Janeiro club is currently 11th in Brazil's 20-team Serie A standings with 35 points from 27 outings. ■
