ANKARA, Sept. 18 (Xinhua) -- Türkiye has formally approved a defense industry cooperation agreement with Brazil, according to an official gazette published by the Turkish Presidency on Friday.
The agreement covers joint research and development, procurement and exchange of defense equipment, technology transfer, and personnel exchanges.
The agreement was signed in March 2022 in the Turkish capital Ankara and the Brazilian capital Brasilia. Brazil completed its domestic approval process for the agreement in September 2025.
It is valid for five years and will be automatically renewed for successive one-year periods unless either party objects. ■
