KABUL, Sept. 17 (Xinhua) -- Afghan Defense Minister Mawlawi Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid held separate meetings with visiting Director of Türkiye's National Intelligence Organization Ibrahim Kalin and Deputy Secretary of Qatar's National Security Council Hamad bin Khamis Al-Kubaisi, the Ministry of Defense said in statements released on Wednesday evening.
During the discussions, the officials focused on advancing relations between Afghanistan, Türkiye and Qatar, with particular emphasis on security cooperation, regional security and stability, and exchanged views on these matters.
They also underlined the importance of further consolidating security and defense ties among the three countries. ■
