BEIJING, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- China's top diplomat Wang Yi met with Special Advisor to the President of Brazil Celso Amorim on Wednesday in Beijing.
Wang, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee, said that under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China-Brazil relations have achieved a leap forward, evolving from a comprehensive strategic partnership into a community with a shared future in recent years.
He added that China and Brazil should continue to deepen cooperation and strengthen strategic coordination on major international and regional issues.
Amorim said Brazil is ready to work with China to implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state and inject new connotations into building a Brazil-China community with a shared future for a more just world and a more sustainable planet. ■
