The U.S. is reportedly planning its LARGEST munition sale to Israel in years -- packed with the most destructive bombs in Western military arsenals.
The deal, worth 2.8 billion USD, includes 20,000 MK-84s and 20,000 BLU-117s, as well as 20,000 I-2000 Penetrator warheads, according to The Washington Post.
Upon detonation, the MK-84 can send metal fragments flying thousands of feet in every direction, tear through metal and thick concrete, and often leave large craters in the earth, the report noted.
Having been used hundreds of times by Israel in Gaza and Lebanon, these bombs have fueled the massive casualties in the region. Israel has drawn criticism for dropping MK-84s in zones it designated as safe for civilians.
