NEW DELHI, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- At least four members of a family were killed and two others suffered burn injuries early Tuesday after a refrigerator in their accommodation exploded in the southwestern state of Karnataka, police said.
The explosion took place at Chavat Galli, near the Central Bus Stand in Belagavi district, about 506 km northwest of Bengaluru, the capital city of Karnataka. The injured sustained burns about 60 percent of their bodies, according to the police.
Police have registered a case and ordered an investigation into the incident. ■
