SYDNEY, Sept. 13 (Xinhua) -- A man has been hospitalized with serious injuries after he was shot in the suburbs of Perth on Sunday, with nearby residents told to stay indoors while police search for two suspects.
The police force in Western Australia (WA) said that the man was shot at an address in the suburb of Hamilton Hill, 17 km southwest of central Perth, around 4:35 a.m. local time on Sunday.
He was treated by ambulance paramedics and taken to hospital with serious injuries while police commenced a search for two men dressed all in black, believed to have been involved in the shooting.
"Significant police resources have been deployed and are conducting a thorough search of the area," police said. ■
