GENEVA, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) -- Five people were killed and 40 others injured after a Dutch coach crashed in the eastern Swiss canton of Graubunden, police said on Friday.
The vehicle was traveling from Zernez to Susch on Thursday afternoon when it veered off the road in a construction zone and overturned, police said in a statement.
"Of the 45 adults on board, five were killed. Three people sustained serious injuries, seven moderate injuries and 30 minor injuries," police said, adding that all those injured had been transported to hospitals.
The crash was a single-vehicle accident, and an investigation is underway, police added. ■
