YANGON, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar has revoked restrictions requiring vehicles to operate on designated odd or even days based on their license plate numbers, effective Sept. 9, according to a public notice issued by the Information Team of the President's Office on Wednesday.

The restrictions were introduced in March to conserve fuel and ensure adequate supplies amid conflicts in the Middle East, the notice said.

The notice said fuel consumption has now returned to a stable and normal level. The restrictions were therefore revoked to facilitate public transportation and ensure uninterrupted business operations.

However, the QR code-based fuel distribution and sales system associated with the odd-even framework will remain in place as part of efforts to maintain the country's energy security, according to the notice.
