BEIJING, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- As a traditional friendly neighbor, China is willing to provide help within its capacity for Nepal's post-disaster reconstruction based on its needs, foreign ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said Thursday.
Guo made the remarks at a regular press briefing in response to a relevant question.
Following the recent mudslide disaster, China, while urgently carrying out rescue and self-relief efforts, immediately extended a helping hand to Nepal and supported the country's emergency disaster relief endeavors, the spokesperson said.
"We believe that under the leadership of the Nepali government, the Nepali people will surely overcome the disaster and rebuild their homes at an early date," Guo said. ■
