BUENOS AIRES, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) -- San Lorenzo has appointed Ruben Dario Insua as its head coach on a deal that runs until December 2027, the Argentine club said on Monday.
Insua replaces Nestor Gorosito, who was sacked following a 1-0 away defeat by Instituto Cordoba on August 31.
"Ruben Dario Insua has begun his third stint in charge of San Lorenzo," the Buenos Aires side said on its official website.
"After president Marcelo Culotta introduced him to the squad and staff, El Gallego led his first training session with his sights set on Sunday's derby against Independiente," it added.
San Lorenzo is currently 10th in Zone A of Argentina's Clausura tournament, with three wins, a draw and four losses.
Insua has been out of work since parting ways with Barracas Central in June.
The 65-year-old also had spells in charge of San Lorenzo in 2002 and 2003, and from 2022 to 2024. ■
