BEIJING, Sept. 8 (Xinhua) -- The fourth batch of emergency relief supplies from China to Nepal was dispatched on Tuesday morning, including equipment for transportation and lighting and mortuary supplies, a Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson said on Tuesday.
Spokesperson Mao Ning made the remarks at a daily news briefing when asked to give an update on China's assistance for Nepal's disaster relief efforts.
"Across China, help is on the way to Nepal," Mao said, adding that the China Foundation for Rural Development has sent people to the affected communities in Nepal to set up temporary shelters and provide daily necessities and basic medical services. The Chinese Enterprises Association in Nepal recently delivered the first batch of funds donated for relief operations, she added.
China will continue standing firmly with Nepal to overcome this challenging time together, said Mao. ■
