BEIRUT, Sept. 6 (Xinhua) -- Three people were killed Sunday afternoon in an Israeli drone strike targeting a car in the southern Lebanese city of Nabatieh, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health.
The ministry's Public Health Emergency Operations Center said in a statement that the attack struck a parking lot in the Nabatieh al-Tahta area, bringing the death toll from Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon since Sunday morning to seven, with several others injured.
Since the latest round of the Israel-Hezbollah conflict erupted on March 2, at least 4,362 people have been killed and 12,378 others injured in Israeli attacks, according to the ministry.
The developments came amid continued tensions along the Lebanese-Israeli border despite a framework agreement signed by Lebanon and Israel in late June. The two sides have also held several rounds of negotiations on security arrangements along the border. ■
