RIO DE JANEIRO, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- Forward Luciano and defender Iago struck second-half goals as Sao Paulo eased to a 2-0 home win over Atletico Mineiro in Brazil's Serie A on Saturday.
The hosts took the lead in the 67th minute when Luciano fired in from close range after Artur's effort from distance took a deflection.
Iago doubled the advantage two minutes later with a diving header into the far corner following Lucas Ramon's cross from the right wing.
Atletico controlled just 44 percent of possession and failed to have a single shot on target.
Sao Paulo now has 33 points, three behind Atletico with 13 matchdays remaining in the season.
Elsewhere in Brazil's Serie A on Saturday, Erick scored a second-half winner as Bahia edged to a 3-2 victory over Bragantino. ■
