BEIJING, Sept. 6 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese Air Force will dispatch multiple military aircraft to attend an international air show in Egypt from Sept. 8 to 10, the Chinese People's Liberation Army announced in a statement on Sunday.
The Chinese Air Force will send fighter jets, airborne early warning aircraft, refueling aircraft and helicopters to the air show to be held at the El Alamein International Airport, according to the statement.
This event will be the second El Alamein International Airshow, following its first edition in 2024. Chinese military aircraft also participated in the first airshow, during which several J-10 fighter jets and a Y-20, China's domestically developed large transport aircraft, staged aerial performances.
This year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Egypt, which has been accompanied by a series of exchange events between the two countries. Last month, the two air forces launched a set of joint exercises under the code name "Eagles of Civilization-2026" in Egypt. ■
